I Think I Am Doomed to get E-mails About Scoop for Eternity

Virtually everyone of my friends who knows I write on this blog has forwarded me the latest Scoop Jackson article (since I never shut up about tennis and have gone back and forth on Scoop's writing this summer). I think it is more than safe to say that he is fighting a losing battle here and that I would rather read this article from a more legitimate tennis voice like Wertheim or Peter Bodo. Still, as I said before, the guy picks an argument and sticks to his guns, even if 98% of the country will disagree with him. I just wonder if Scoop talking about tennis rather frequently attracts people attention to the sport or turns them away.

And for the record, it is QUITE conceivable that Bohm has a better career than del Potro. I don't think Scoop has seen del Potro play - he always looks whipped by the third set and his conditioning needs a lot of improvement. Not to mention that he is 19...you know, roughly the same age as Nadal, Djokovic, Isner, Young, and only a few years younger than Roddick, Blake, Federer, et al. I wouldn't say he'll have an easy time owning any of those guys any time soon.
